Huntsman Family Christmas Party

We went to the Annual Huntsman Family Christmas party last night, and we all had a blast!

We were all visiting and catching up, and all the kids were playing, except for one. I couldn't see Bo, so I started looking for him, and this is where I found him...

Yep. That's a dog bed, in the corner! I guess Bo was still a little sleepy, and just wanted some "Bo" time. Did I mention what a funny boy this kid is?

I figured, If the kid wants to sleep, I'm not going to stop him! So I handed him his blanket! He laid there for a really long time! But he was happy as a clam!

This is all the kids sitting in a circle getting ready for the White Elephant gifts. Jaxson told Kaeline that she needed to give all the kids numbers. He was number 4 'cause he's 4. He told her he knew this because he's in preschool!

Cody was just trying to figure out what they were going to do!

He was so excited when he got to pick out a present! Usually, when we play our white elephant game, you can steel something if you like, but we decided letting the kids steel from each other wasn't such a good idea! Who wants a bunch of crying kids?!

Cody was thrilled with his Gumball machine! Yeah. Me too!

He and Bo would eat a piece of gum, and as soon as it ran out of flavor, they would come over to me and spit it out in my hand, and then go back for another one! Yummy!

I know, we have got to get rid of that dang binky, but really, it makes for such a happy kid!

And finally, the moment we were all waiting for... The Big Guy himself!
When Santa came in, Cody was torn between excitement, and terror!

Here's a little smile, but still unsure...

Of course Bo had no problem introducing himself!!!

He was loving this Jolly Old Soul!

Cody was called up to Santa's lap very first, but there was just no way that was happening, so we let Jaxson go first. Cody watched as Jaxson sat on Santa's lap, but he wasn't totally sold on the idea until Jaxson got his present...

Then Cody was ALL OVER IT! He ran up and sat right on his lap.

He gave a little smile, but really, he just wanted that present.

He posed for a picture, still waiting for that present...

All that talking made him a little nervous! He thought he'd been tricked, but FINALLY...

He got his present!

A DINOSAUR!!!

This is one happy little kid!!

Jaxson and Cody with their Dino's. That was one smart Santa!

Bo had no trouble sitting on Santa's lap. In fact, he was just interested in a toy plane he was playing with.

But as soon as that Santa pulled out his present. It caught Bo's attention!

But still more talking!! :)

Santa told him what a good boy he was, and a few things he needed to work on (like controlling his temper!) and then he sent him on his way!

What is it?!

More Dinosaurs!!

Cody isn't all the way sold on the idea that Santa gives presents to EVERYONE. He thinks they should all be for him!
Bo was so excited to play with his toys!

Zach giving Santa a Little Love!

Dad and Bo with his mini Dino's

Finally, we tried to get a picture with all the kids standing next to Santa. These are a few Attempts!

Needless to say, we never got that shot!
Thank you for the fun Christmas party! It was a Blast!!

I Spy...

I was trying to put up my Christmas decorations at the beginning of the season, (am I a little behind on posting?) and my boys thought all the decorations and things were hilarious, but every time I turned around this is where Bo would be...

Can you see him?

This is his new favorite spot! Especially with the tree decorated and all lit up! He loves this corner under the tree! Such a funny boy!

Another Freaking Dog!!

I guess having a bajillion hounds is not enough for our family, we had to have a "Bird" dog.

Cody will tell you this is "his poacher!" and he has to be able to do everything with Cody! Including taking a tub! I am not a dog lover, but how can you argue with this?!

Feelin' "Birdie"!

The opening of the Pheasant Hunt was this weekend. Of course the "Opening" can never be missed! So Cory headed out with his dad & brother's and few others to get their limit. Everyone got their birds, and then the men headed to Warr Memorial for the traditional Erda Burger.

Finally, my hubs came home only to show of his Kills to his boys! Bo didn't really care, but Cody was all over it!

I think we have a future hunter on our hands!

And here he is taking the birds out to his dad to start the cleaning process...

Cody was not afraid to just take control of those birds! But Bo didn't want to miss out!

Holding up the birds for a photo op...

And then he decided he wasn't done with his birds, so he took them back in the house!

Hmmm...Playing with dead birds and letting them in the house?! Where is this kids mother?!

Halloween

We went to the annual Erda Trunk-or-Treat last night at the drive in. It's always fun to see everyone in there costumes, and let the kids trick-or-treat. Of course my children have no interest in trick-or-treating, they just like to sit and eat the candy we bring to give away. This year, Cody was the candy monitor. I don't think he liked giving his candy away, but he didn't protest too much. I am so happy the weather cooperated so we could have a good time.

Cody was my little Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, Raphael, however, he was so embarrassed to wear his costume! He liked putting it on at home, but the minute I said to get in the car he was ripping that sucker off! He couldn't believe I wanted him to leave the house dressed like that!

Here is Cody, at home, where he enjoyed the dressing up...

He even posed for me to get a full body picture!

Here is our little Pirate boy! He had no trouble putting on his costume and asking for candy!

And here is our half-turtle. Seriously! He would not let us put his costume back on him in public!

Bo showing his moves... He jumps in a circle! :)

Cody just loungin' by the car, watching all the kids. He was seriously so happy, he just didn't want to wear his costume, or go trick-or-treating!

Bo just loved being outside, and when he got tired of our candy, he took off and got his own! Not with his bag to save the candy! He just saw people handing it out, so he went and got it, and ate it! I just watched him to see what he would do, and he didn't disappoint. I don't think he made a sound, he just stood in front of some dude with candy until he handed him some!

Cody finally let us put the Shell on, but nothing else!

and it only lasted long enough for him to put his stuff down to take it off again!

My mom, Bo, and I passin' out the goods!

I wanted a picture with both my boys, so I put Cody's shell back on and tried to get him to take a picture. How do you think it turned out?

The boys kickin' back with grandma & grandpa. Cody watching everyone, and Bo stuffing his face as fast as he can! I think he kept waiting for someone to tell him no, but it's Halloween!

And last, but not least, Cody wouldn't wear his own costume, but Jaxson was a dinosaur, and he let Cody try on the head to his costume! Cody LOVED it!! When it was time for them to go home, he cried because he didn't want to take his head off! Who can figure this kid out!?

He does make a pretty cute dino though!
