The Big Boss Man...

Cody thinks at our house, he is in charge. (for the most part he is.) Lately, his new thing is my bed! He has taken over ownership! He brings his pillow in, sets it up, pulls the covers over him, and then yells at me until I come in. He LOVES it when I let him watch a movie on our TV while he lounges in my bed. He loves it even more, when I bring him a snack or drink! I know I am creating a monster, but hey, your only young once!

Ready to Ride!

Cory came back from hunting and parked the trailer with the four wheelers right out the front window. Cody saw the four wheelers, and just about had a heart attack he was so excited! He couldn't get his shoes on fast enough to get out there and get on those four wheelers! Forget that they were tied up on the trailer so I couldn't take him on a ride! It didn't matter to him! He just climbed up on the trailer and onto the four wheelers, and he was in little boy heaven for hours!

Bad Idea...

The potty training has not been going so well at our house, so I decided to put it away for awhile, do a little more research, and try again when Cody and I are ready. Well, today I had this brilliant idea!
Every time I change Cody's diaper I tell him "this is sick" or "that's gross" (the potty training guide says to do this.) Anyway, I didn't think he was really getting it, because he would just laugh, and he would tell me "sick" or "gross". Well, today I am getting ready to change Bo's dirty diaper, and I think to myself, "Oh! I'll show Cody how gross this is! Then he'll get that it's gross, and he'll want to go in the big boy toilet!" Yeah. That didn't go over so well. I had Cody standing next to me, and I take off Bo's diaper and I say "see, gross!". Cody looks down at it, and then I see it.... The gag reflex! He starts gagging, and after a few gags, he blows his load! He totally puked! I just didn't know what to do! Cory was laughing his freaking head off (because this is what Cory does when he has to change poopie diapers) and I still had to clean up Bo! I totally made my kid puke because I showed him poop!! So, I ended up changing the poopie diaper, and then the puke off of Cody, and off the carpet! So NOT what I had planned, and so NOT worth it! Bad, Bad Idea!

Grandpa Time

We have a loft in our Bear Lake house that Cody loves to play in. Up until now, Bo has never been up there to play because it makes me nervous, but Grandpa took him up to let him play, and Bo thought he was such a big boy! He kept looking down through the railing and laughing like he was saying "Look at me!" "Look at me!"

Bo loves his Grandpa...

I had to add this picture of Cody on David's shoulders. They were having the best time and are getting to be best buddies! They LOVE to tease each other!!!

Pumpkins! Pumpkins! Pumpkins!

For conference weekend the ol' parentals and I took my boys and headed north! With Cory off hunting and it being general conference weekend, we thought it was the perfect time to get back up to Bear Lake. We had to wait for my dad to finish working for the week, so we didn't get out of here until Saturday morning, and we came home late Sunday night, so it was a quick trip, but we managed to pack it full of fun! Saturday was a rainy day, so we weren't in a huge hurry to just get up to the cabin, so we decided to take our time and make a few stops along the way. Of course we had to stop at Maddox for lunch, and while we were eating we looked over at "Paul's Patch" this great little fruit stand we have stopped at since I was a little girl, but this time, it was all decked out in Halloween! We couldn't resist so we headed on over...

They had set up this DARLING little pumpkin patch, with millions of pumpkins! Cody and Bo got so excited! I don't think they knew what pumpkins were, but they learned quick enough.

Right in the middle of the patch was this gigantic bull, with "Paul" riding his back. Cody had to take a minute to figure out what it was, and if it was real or not.

We had to walk around and look at ALL the pumpkins to decide which one we wanted...

Cody got into it, and he started pointing at the pumpkins, and turning them around to see if they were perfect and then moved on to the next to do the same...

Grandma and Bo were examining every pumpkin to make sure ours were the cutest!

We made our selections,

And then we had to pose for pictures!

Bo and Cody were lovin' life!

Picking our pumpkins was not the only fun part of the stop, they had this awesome little Corn Maze for the kiddies! Cody wouldn't go in at first, so I had to go in to show him it wasn't scary, and then he played in there for over an hour!

We made it to the flag in the middle, and I was trying to get Cody to look at the camera for a picture...

He was just looking at me like I was a freak...

And finally, he looked over and we got a cute picture!

It was totally raining the whole time we were there, so we are all a little water logged.

We finished picking out our pumpkins and then went to pick out some peaches, and veggies. Since it was raining, the water was pouring out of the rain gutter things on the tent, and Cody thought it was hilarious!

At first he would just run under the drips fast,

Then he started standing right under them and let them get him soaking wet...

And then you know what comes next...

He had to try to drink it!

Silly, silly Boy!
It just ended up being so much fun! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for a great weekend!

Cory Chronicles

If I believed in Super Powers, I would believe that Cory possessed one. His super power? Getting people to do whatever he wants them to do! You all remember the little gem Cory brought home a while ago, that he refers to as a "camper"? Well, he talked his brother Chad into letting him load it up on the back of his pick-up, and then he talked him into going hunting in it with him. Poor Chad!

Here is the camper all hooked up and ready to go.

Of course Cody had to be out helping the guys load up there Redneck Rig...

But, the main reason for posting this on the Cory Chronicles is this...

Yes, that is my husband cleaning his gun in our bedroom, and yes, that is my two year old right in there with him investigating every inch of that gun, and helping his dad clean the barrel until it shined! Cody was so into it, he wouldn't even look at me, and neither would Cory! This hunting business is not something to be taken lightly!

Actually, I was pretty impressed with Cody for staying with it until the job was done. He LOVED helping his dad!

Cory would put the cleaning stuff on, and then Cody would do the rest!

How RedNeck can you get?
